Double chin – how to get rid of it?
It adds years, distorts the face oval and causes serious complexes. It is difficult to hide. Where does a double chin come from and what are the methods to effectively and safely remove it?What are the causes of a double chin?

Accumulation of excessive amounts of fat tissue under the chin, which often coexists with less and less elastic and firm skin. This problem affects both slim and excessively "round" people;

Maintaining an incorrect head position: slouching, sleeping on a pillow that is too large;

Genetic conditions.

Improper diet, which promotes water retention in the body - rich in sugar, salt, alcohol;

Excessive exposure to the sun promotes sagging skin;

Significant weight loss and the associated sagging excess skin under the chin;

Sagging skin associated with age and gravity;

Hypothyroidism (goiter)

Double chin – exercisesEliminating this defect using traditional methods, such as diet or exercise is difficult, but it is worth reaching for them, even if they do not promise spectacular effects. It is worth remembering about prevention - prevention is better than cure.Regular exercises that increase the tension of the neck and chin muscles, and by improving blood supply and oxygenation - skin firmness and tension, e.g. sticking out the tongue, lifting the chin up and tightening the neck muscles, turning the head in different directions; double chin massage; taking care of proper posture during the day and night; changes in diet and lifestyle that help reduce the amount of fat tissue and the visibility of the double chin; avoiding simple sugars and saturated fats and consuming large amounts of protein, vegetables and fruit to support the weight loss process and improve skin elasticity; limiting sunbathing.Laser has power!Neither prevention nor daily home treatments and care will help effectively get rid of a double chin. It is also hindered by reduced fat metabolism in this area. You have to reach for aesthetic medicine treatments. One of the best is laser fat removal using the technologically advanced 6D® laser treatment, which uses two wavelengths of the erbium-yag (Er:YAG) and neodymium-yag (Nd:YAG) laser.Laser lipolysis breaks down fat tissue in a minimally invasive way, regenerates the skin, stimulates the creation of new collagen fibers and improves skin quality. How does the laser work? The light beam penetrates fat cells, which shrink and die (apoptosis) under its influence, and are finally absorbed by the body's lymphatic system. The broken fat cell membranes and triglycerides become a liquid emulsion. The procedure takes about 30-40 minutes, depending on the amount of fat that needs to be removed. Laser lipolysis is painless and does not require convalescence. The results are visible after 2-6 weeks, and the optimal effect appears up to 6 months after the procedure. You should intensively massage your chin with a special cream to stimulate circulation and hydrate the skin. Another essential component of the procedure is skin tightening with a laser so that the empty spaces after fat removal do not hang even more. This part of the procedure is also painless and does not require convalescence. The effect is visible immediately after the procedure. The effectiveness of the 6D laser procedure is compared to surgical liposuction.Effective double chin treatmentsThe methods for getting rid of a double chin are different, but the main goal is to break down and remove fat tissue, firm and improve skin tension. Double chin treatments are minimally invasive, safe and effective. They provide lasting and visible results in improving the face oval. Methods are often combined for optimal effect.

Ultrasound waves generated by the HIFU (High Intensity Focused Ultrasound) device focus on the chin area. Local heating of tissues leads to shortening of collagen fibers and stimulation of new collagen production. As a result, the skin becomes firmer, tighter and more elastic, and the contour of the face is more pronounced. The broken fat tissue is removed faster by the body. This minimally invasive, but painful procedure does not require convalescence. With a small amount of fat, the effect is visible after just one treatment and lasts up to two years. Unfortunately, the downside is that with a large amount of fat, the effect is not spectacular and long-lasting.

RF radio waves (radiofrequency) is a non-invasive and painless method, effective when the double chin is the result of sagging skin. Intense micro-vibrations of fat cells break them down and then release them from the body through the lymphatic channels. Radio waves increase the temperature of the tissues, and thus stimulate the regeneration processes. Collagen fibers shrink and tighten, which is why the double chin is less visible, and the skin is more taut and firm.

Endermology - combines lymphatic massage and vacuum massage techniques. The device with a ball head uses negative pressure to break up fat deposits and release them to the lymph nodes, thanks to lymphatic drainage.

Laser lipolysis - summary:

The procedure breaks down fat tissue, stimulates skin renewal and the creation of new collagen fibers.

Laser liposuction is very effective, painless and does not require convalescence. You can return to work the same day. The only symptom is a slight redness of the heated area.

The results are visible after a few weeks, and the optimal effect appears 2-3 months after the procedure.

The procedure perfectly shapes the skin under the chin, removing unnecessary fat and improves the quality of the skin.

Polylactic acid - the king of biostimulants
Do you want to firm and rebuild your skin and slow down its aging? Such effects are provided by a treatment using polylactic acid, which naturally and safely fills the tissues and stimulates skin cells to intensively produce collagen. Did you know that the synthesis of collagen and elastin in the skin decreases by 1% per year? Reduction in the number of collagen fibers leads to the destruction of connective tissue, loss of skin firmness and tension, and the formation of wrinkles. With age, there is also thinning of the epidermis, slower renewal of keratinocytes (epidermal cells), weakening of the dermal-epidermal connection and a decrease in the number of dermal cells. Therefore, aesthetic medicine treatments focus on counteracting skin aging and the changes that accompany it.Among the techniques used in various areas of the face and body, biostimulators lead - preparations that stimulate the synthesis of collagen and elastin, proteins that provide a strong scaffolding for the skin. Of particular note is Poly-L-Lactic Acid (PLLA), which is administered mainly to the body (less often to the face) to fill tissue and improve skin quality. From surgical sutures to tissue engineeringPolylactic acid was synthesized in 1954 by the French company DuPont as a high molecular weight acid. It is a polymer composed of lactic acid monomers obtained during the fermentation of corn dextrose (a simple sugar). It has a long history of use, and the versatile properties of the polymer – non-toxicity, biodegradability, physical and mechanical properties – have enabled the creation of numerous products based on PLLA, such as surgical suture materials in the 1970s, threads, implants and bone fixation devices. Their advantage is that they do not destroy the bone after implantation, as, for example, titanium and other metals.A milestone was the use of PLLA (since 1999) in Europe for the correction of lipodystrophy (loss of fat tissue) in HIV patients receiving antiretroviral therapy. Today, polylactic acid is used in the production of drugs. Parenteral microspheres deliver and slowly release active ingredients in a controlled manner. The latest applications of PLLA are tissue engineering – use in skin autografts, wound dressings, anastomotic systems and stents. How does polylactic acid work?Polylactic acid is experiencing a renaissance in aesthetic medicine. Although it has been present in it for over 20 years, it has recently triumphed as the strongest volumetric biostimulator that restores collagen and has a strong anti-aging effect. PLLA differs from other dermal fillers because it does not provide immediate results. Instead, it causes intensive collagen production in the tissue - for a very long time, even up to several months. The results appear gradually over a few months.Because polylactic acid has a strong stimulating effect, it stimulates the immune system. Therefore, it is important to properly qualify the patient for the procedure and to properly administer the preparation, which is in the form of particles that disperse in the tissue after injection. The preparation with polylactic acid molecules fills the tissues and improves the quality of the skin. For this reason, it works perfectly in the buttocks, on the cleavage, in less firm arms (so-called pelicans) or sagging skin of the abdomen. After injection, polylactic acid reaches the deep layers of the skin and stimulates its cells to produce new collagen fibers and rebuild the skin structure. The effect is filled volume, reduced imperfections and improved skin tension. This method is for people who have "waffled" skin around the thighs and buttocks, especially with advanced cellulite. Polylactic acid eliminates all unevenness on the skin surface. The treatment does not require convalescence, works naturally and is safe. The effect is not immediate, but relatively long-lasting.How the procedure is performedThe preparation is simple to administer - using a thin needle (microcannula minimizes the feeling of pain and the risk of bruising), it is injected into the subcutaneous tissue after prior anesthesia. The body absorbs it easily, because it is a natural substance. The water contained in the preparation is completely absorbed. After injecting the preparation, the doctor performs a special massage to evenly distribute the active compounds, which helps to achieve an excellent final effect.

Duration of the procedure: 20-30 minutes.

Recovery time after the procedure: up to 7 days. There may be slight irritations: bruises, pain, swelling, redness.

Recommended number of treatments: 3 treatments performed every month. Each treatment is a re-stimulation of your own collagen.

Results: the first effects are visible immediately, the final ones after about six weeks. They last from 12 to 24 months, and even up to 30 months. It depends on the lifestyle of the patient.

The PLLA molecule is heavy and irregular, so it absorbs very slowly in tissues. The half-life of PLLA is 31 days, and complete disintegration occurs after about 18 months. Therefore, PLLA is completely biodegradable. Importantly, the stimulation of collagen synthesis begins almost immediately after PLLA injection into the tissues, but increases visibly after 3 months, and after 6 months, the dermis thickens. As studies show, the amount of collagen type I and III on the periphery of PLLA particles increases significantly between 8 and 24 months after injection.Post-treatment recommendations

Massage the treated areas 5 times a day for 5 minutes for a week.

Avoid alcohol, smoking, saunas and sun for a few days after the procedure.

Avoid physical activity for a day after the procedure.

Do not take blood-thinning medications (e.g. aspirin) before and after the procedure.

Maintain special hygiene immediately after the procedure and for the first few days (clean pillowcase, disposable towel).

Drink at least 2 liters of water a day.

Contraindications to the procedureLike any aesthetic medicine procedure, buttock modeling has its contraindications:

Autoimmune diseases.

Tendency to form hypertrophic scars.

Inflammatory skin conditions (herpes, acne).

Allergy to polylactic acid or its components.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

What are the effects of polylactic acid?

Improves skin firmness and density.

Evens out skin irregularities on the buttocks, thighs, arms, stomach and reduces cellulite.

Improves skin quality, smoothes and nourishes it.

Breaks down fat tissue in the area of the sides or thighs.

Hyaluronic acidHyaluronic acid is a good filler - it binds water in the tissue, so it fills and shapes it, and at the same time improves the skin's hydration and firmness. The treatment brings immediate results. Unfortunately, it lasts quite a short time - from 6 to 12 months, so it must be repeated often. Injecting this acid into a given area of the body is expensive, because it requires a large amount of the product. In addition, hyaluronic acid is quite a heavy preparation, so injecting it into the buttocks, for example, burdens them. The "implant" stretches the tissue and then disappears, as a result of which the skin loses its natural support.Skin Health and the Effects of Polylactic AcidPolylactic acid (PLLA) is known for its excellent biostimulating properties, which have a positive effect on the health and condition of the skin. By stimulating collagen synthesis, this acid helps rebuild the skin's structure, leading to better firmness and elasticity. Regular use of polylactic acid can contribute to:

Wrinkle Reduction: Polylactic acid helps smooth fine lines and wrinkles, making the skin look younger.

Improved Skin Texture: Thanks to its moisturizing and regenerative properties, the skin becomes smoother and more uniform.

Increased Volume: This acid acts as a natural filler, restoring lost volume in the cheek area, nasolabial folds and other areas.

Skin Firming: Stimulation of collagen production leads to improved skin firmness, which is especially important in areas prone to sagging, such as the abdomen, thighs and buttocks.

Lanluma and PLA threadsIn recent years, innovative products such as Lanluma, which also use polylactic acid, have gained popularity on the aesthetic medicine market. Lanluma is an advanced biostimulator that, in addition to stimulating collagen production, offers long-lasting effects in terms of skin modeling and firming. Thanks to the content of polylactic acid in the form of microspheres, Lanluma works gradually, which ensures a natural look and minimizes the risk of side effects.PLA threads are another application of polylactic acid in aesthetic medicine. These biodegradable threads are introduced under the skin, where they stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, improving the overall condition of the skin. PLA threads act as a natural scaffolding that supports the skin, while contributing to its lifting. Thanks to them, the skin becomes more taut, and the effects are visible for a long time.Benefits of using polylactic acid

Naturalness: Polylactic acid is a biocompatible substance, which means that it is well tolerated by the body and does not cause allergic reactions.

Long-lasting effects: The effects of the treatment are visible for a long time, up to 30 months, which makes it a worthwhile investment in skin health.

Safety: The procedure is minimally invasive, and the risk of complications is minimal, making it an ideal choice for people looking for safe methods of improving their appearance.

Versatility: Polylactic acid can be used in various areas of the body, such as the face, neck, décolleté, buttocks or thighs, making it a versatile preparation in aesthetic medicine.

Laser stimulation instead of hair transplantation. What are its advantages?
Excessive hair loss and its increasingly weaker growth are a cause for concern. Regardless of the cause of the problem, the most important thing is a correct medical diagnosis and effective therapy. Laser hair growth stimulation in a safe, non-invasive and fast way thickens the hair. When combing, some hair always collects on the comb, but losing up to 100 hairs a day should not be a concern - the same number grows back after some time. Hair has a growth, rest and death phase. It grows for 3-6 years, and then falls out within 3 months, ending its natural life. However, with excessive hair loss, the hair moves from the growth phase to the shedding phase more quickly. Why does hair fall out? There can be many reasons, the main ones being:

Too low concentration in blood serum: vitamin D3 level, thyroid hormones, hemoglobin and ferritin (anemia), thyroglobulin, vitamin B, zinc. The most important and simplest is to determine the level of these components, and in the event of deficiency - supplementation until the correct result is achieved. According to the recommendations of prof. Paweł Płudowski and team on the prevention and treatment of vitamin D deficiency, published in the journal "Nutrients" in 2023, the recommended dose of cholecalciferol (vit. D3) for people aged 19-65 is 1000-2000 IU / day (25-50 µg / day) throughout the year, depending on body weight and vitamin D intake in the diet. For people weighing over 75 kg - 4000 units (but not more!). The optimal concentration of 25(OH)D in serum in Poland is >30-50 ng/ml (75-125 nmol/L).

Hormonal disorders - even the smallest ones have a negative impact on the condition of the hair. A decrease in female hormones during menopause and an excess of male hormones, which is a disorder that occurs even in young women. In androgenetic alopecia (the most frequently diagnosed type of baldness in both sexes), diffuse clearings appear in the frontal-parietal area, and receding hairlines also form. Hair follicles become smaller and smaller, and newly formed hair - thinner and thinner. Genes are responsible for the hypersensitivity of the hair follicles of the head to dihydrotestosterone, the active form of testosterone.

Excessive secretion of sebum, causing seborrheic alopecia. The associated drying of the epidermis is the result of staying in air-conditioned rooms, in a polluted environment or using inappropriate shampoos. A damaged epidermal barrier promotes the multiplication of yeast - oily dandruff is formed. Constant irritation causes inflammation, which stimulates hair follicles, which causes hair loss.

Excessive exposure to UV rays in summer and hair loss in autumn.

Mineral deficiencies (vitamins, mineral salts, proteins), especially in women who are losing weight.

Stress causes an increase in protactin levels in women, leading to the imbalance of other hormones and the activation of neuropeptides that affect the improper functioning of the hair follicle.

Tightly tying hair, e.g. in a ponytail - compressed hair follicles are poorly oxygenated and nourished.

Hereditary tendency to baldness. This is done in a safe and controlled manner.Laser hair stimulation with Laser 6D® is a non-invasive, painless, scar-free procedure that does not require long convalescence. The only visible result is new hair that appears after a week. The procedure lasts from 30 to 60 minutes. It is best to perform 6 treatments every 2 weeks, and then one reminder treatment every 6 months.Laser treatment is an excellent alternative to hair transplantation - a method that requires the use of a scalpel, which often leaves scars.Laser is not for everyone – what are the contraindications?taking medications that reduce blood clotting and dilate blood vessels taking oral retinoids in the last 6 months taking photosensitizing medications 2 weeks before the procedure taking steroids (in various forms) drinking herbal infusions of chamomile, calendula, St. John's wort infections, inflammation of the scalp autoimmune diseases, cancer, epilepsy tendency to develop keloid scars pacemaker pregnancy, lactation active viral infection: herpes, HIV, hepatitisAfter the Laser 6D® hair stimulation treatment, avoid sunbathing and protect your scalp from sunlight.
How to prepare for a visit to an aesthetic medicine clinic?
Before undergoing procedures at an aesthetic medicine clinic, talk to your doctor about your expectations, needs and concerns. You will learn about the possibilities of solving your problem, in accordance with the guiding principle of primum non nocere - first, do no harm.A well-planned action plan is the basis for success. That is why the doctor conducts a detailed interview to collect all the information needed to make a diagnosis and qualify for the procedure. This path of action ensures maximum patient safety. The conversation with the doctor also serves to discuss possible complications (which can always happen) and dispel any doubts. Consultation - what does the doctor ask? When going to a meeting at an aesthetic medicine clinic, prepare for the conversation. During it, specify your needs and expectations precisely. The doctor, based on the information obtained and the skin diagnostics performed, will propose a form of therapy and explain in detail its course and expected results. If you have doubts or concerns, do not hesitate to ask and ask for clarification. Remember, there are no stupid questions. An experienced specialist should answer every question in detail. The better you understand what the therapy will consist of, the greater your satisfaction with the effects and you will be able to consciously take care of their longevity. The doctor will ask about such issues as:

Your current health condition - the results of recent tests will allow you to better select the appropriate treatments and techniques, which will translate into faster and better results.

Chronic diseases, allergic reactions, previous cancer, infections and surgeries.

How quickly wounds heal and whether you are prone to bruising, scarring, discoloration.

What medications, supplements and herbs you take on a regular basis - it is worth presenting a list of them.

What cosmetics you use.

Previous aesthetic medicine treatments (when, what - names of preparations and devices, effects - possible allergic reactions or complications).

Whether you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Answer the questions honestly. With the information gathered, the doctor will rule out contraindications to the procedure. In some cases, such as cancer treatment, the doctor may refuse to perform the procedure due to the risk of complications.Your self-perception and the outline of the problem are also important for the specialist. This helps to assess the seriousness of the situation and determine to what extent the aesthetic problems you are struggling with are a symptom of a disorder or disease - for example, excessive hair as a result of hormonal disorders or hair loss is a vitamin deficiency or anemia. In such a situation, the doctor may refer you for specific tests, the results of which will be the basis for determining the appropriate therapy. Treatment planYour doctor should create a 12-24 month treatment plan to guide your changes. This plan will help you focus on skin health, not just beautification. Remember that your face and body are unique – so it’s worth investing in their health.Realistic expectationsWhen choosing an aesthetic medicine clinic, it is important to have clear expectations. Only an aesthetic medicine doctor can assess which procedure is right for a given skin problem. Their knowledge is based on many years of education, many years of practice and hundreds of procedures performed. Trust them. The effectiveness of the procedure is influenced by factors such as age, body condition, previous and current diseases, lifestyle and diet. Therefore, before your first visit to the clinic, think about what goal you want to achieve and how quickly, and leave the decision on the selection of the procedure method to the doctor.Health CareRemember that a doctor treats the skin, not just beautifies it. Wrinkle reduction is a side effect of skin repair, which is to be protected, treated and repaired. Therefore, it is important not to confuse the roles of an aesthetic medicine doctor. The doctor is responsible for diagnosis and qualification for procedures, as well as for ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the procedures performed. In the event of complications, he can act quickly in accordance with his knowledge. How to choose an aesthetic medicine clinic wisely?Be prudent and do some research before you decide to undergo a procedure. Check:

Whether the clinic operates in accordance with the law and is a medical entity.

Whether the procedures are performed by a doctor or are performed on his behalf after prior consultation.

The lack of a treatment plan results in a lack of vision of where we are heading. Action here and now means that the final effect may be caricatural.

What universities, certificates and experience do they have. Find out as much as possible about the selected specialist by seeking information from official sources.

What experts are employed at the clinic.

What equipment and preparations does the clinic offer. You have the right to know what product the doctor intends to use, what its safety profile is and its source of origin.

Opinions of patients, including trusted people.

Be cautious of large promotions and intrusive advertisements. You must reckon with the fact that neither the product nor the competence of the doctor performing it guarantee the highest quality and safety.

Don't make hasty decisions, give yourself time. Approach the planned procedure "wisely": choose a clinic and a doctor who meets the criteria described above, make an appointment for a consultation, and together agree on the optimal selection and plan of procedures that guarantee safety, quality and a natural look.

Remember that the media omnipresence of a doctor (unless it is objectively justified) does not always guarantee the highest quality of services.

Cost of treatmentsAs you know, the prices of aesthetic treatments in good clinics are not cheap. This is due to the cost and quality of materials from reputable companies. However, their high quality guarantees the safety of the procedure and a natural final effect. The cost also includes the skills of the doctor and continuous training, e.g. at conferences or courses. A low price or an exceptional promotion should raise suspicions that the material to be performed may be of unknown origin or poor quality. When it comes to health, it is not worth saving. The specifics of each aesthetic medicine procedure are different. Some procedures, such as hyaluronic acid injections, must be performed cyclically, replenishing the acid level that decreases in the skin over time. Other procedures are performed less frequently. The more often the procedure has to be repeated, the more often you will look into your wallet. For many patients, it is crucial to consider how much money they can spend on the service and its future repetitions before their first visit. If you tell the doctor what your budget is, they will certainly suggest the most beneficial type of procedure and the optimal cycle of repeating the procedure. It is worth talking! :)FAQ1. How long does the first consultation visit with a doctor or a consultant's examination of needs last? The time of the first visit in an aesthetic medicine clinic or online depends, among other things, on the scope of the patient's problems and the course of previous treatment. It lasts from 30 minutes to 60 minutes face-to-face or can be done online. Then, during the first visit to the clinic, the first treatment procedures can be performed (it can extend to 2-3 hours.)2. Can I wear makeup? You can come to the appointment with makeup on. However, to properly assess the condition of the skin, wrinkles, furrows, discolorations, vascular changes, it is necessary to remove it. This can be done on site at the clinic.3. When are the first aesthetic medicine treatments performed? There is no fixed age limit, just as there is no age threshold from which the skin shows the first signs of aging. This usually happens around the age of 30.4. What can't a doctor do?A doctor performs aesthetic medicine procedures, but cannot perform activities that are not in line with their competence or that may be dangerous. It is important that each procedure is performed in accordance with their skills and knowledge.5. Can pregnant women use aesthetic medicine procedures?Pregnancy and lactation are contraindications to aesthetic medicine procedures. You should always inform the doctor about your actual health condition.6. Can a minor use the procedures?Yes, if they come with a parent or legal guardian. The most common treatments for teenagers are those that reduce sebum secretion and remove acne or scars, e.g. acne scars.

How to rejuvenate the skin around the eyes?
Sagging skin around the eyes usually doesn't keep us awake at night, but draws our attention and encourages us to improve our appearance. Fortunately, there are non-invasive and effective methods of eyelid and eyelid correction. The eyes are always the center of attention, because in addition to aesthetic reasons, they express feelings and communicate more than verbal messages. However, their beauty fades with the passing of the years. The skin on the eyelids and around the eyes ages faster than in other parts of the face. Thin (approx. 0.5 mm), sensitive and delicate, it is almost completely devoid of fat tissue. It also has a small network of collagen fibers and elastin, which determine the firmness and elasticity of the skin. In addition, it dries out easily, due to a small number of sebaceous glands. Blood and lymph circulate poorly around the eyes, which is why lymphatic stagnation sometimes occurs. All this causes wrinkles and deeper wrinkles to form quickly, and the upper eyelids begin to droop. In addition to the cosmetic defect, this means impaired vision and a feeling of heaviness in the eyelids.Dark circles, swelling and fatty sacs may form under the eyes, resulting from the sagging of subcutaneous tissues, mainly connective tissue that is a barrier to fat present in the eye socket. So how can you eliminate the signs of skin aging and make the eye area look younger than your age?Laser correctionThe best way to rejuvenate the eye area is laser correction. In our clinic, we perform upper and lower eyelid lifting using the innovative Foton laser with the 6D® Laser protocol. The beam of light emitted by the device stimulates the creation of new collagen fibers, making the skin firmer, firmer and more moisturized. This gives the effect of the so-called "opening" of the eye, a fresh and expressive look. The laser effectively and long-lastingly smoothes lines, wrinkles and imperfections, regenerates the skin. Importantly, laser eyelid correction is non-invasive - it does not require surgical intervention (cutting and stitching the skin), so there is no need for a period of convalescence. The procedure is painless. The patient only feels heat, which reduces the cold air flow generated by the device. These advantages make the laser the best method of skin regeneration and eyelid lifting. What are the indications for the procedure?Weak skin around the eyes Expression wrinkles around the eyes and "crow's feet" Drooping eyelids Dark circles under the eyes Fat pads (hernias) Water padsFor optimal effect, laser correction of the lower and upper eyelid area is performed every month, depending on the skin condition and age of the patient 3-6 times. Before the procedure, it is necessary to hydrate the skin with mesotherapy or by applying a serum. The procedure lasts from 30 to 60 minutes. You can immediately return to your daily activities. To achieve and maintain the optimal effect, after the eyelid lift procedure, you should follow a few rules: Moisturize your facial skin Use sun protection with SPF 50 Avoid sunbathing Avoid saunas and swimming in the pool Use cosmetics from the Doctor Gabrieli line Other methods - injections, acids and scalpels Mesotherapy - intradermal injection of hyaluronic acid, vitamin cocktails and amino acids, coenzymes, biomimetic peptides, nucleic acids. The procedure is performed under local anesthesia. Effects: smoothes wrinkles, improves skin firmness, hydration and nourishment. After mesotherapy, minor bruising may appear. To achieve a moisturizing effect, mesotherapy is performed weekly, and then once a month for the rest of your life (according to the French school).Using long-term moisturizing - stronger hyaluronic acid, mesotherapy can be performed once every 6 months. However, this is associated with a higher one-time cost.A procedure based on delicate acids that do not exfoliate the epidermis, but remove signs of fatigue, fine wrinkles around the eyes, improve skin tone and reduce dark circles under the eyes.Blepharoplasty - surgical plastic surgery of the upper or lower eyelids. Removal of excess skin, a fragment of the orbicularis oculi muscle and fat hernias (if there are any) "lifts" sagging eyelids, eliminates "bags" under the eyes, some wrinkles. But it does not improve the quality of the skin, like laser treatment. Convalescence lasts 2-4 weeks, and the final effects are visible 3-6 months after the procedure. Like any surgery, the procedure poses a risk of complications, such as: asymmetry of the eyelids, overcorrection and associated lagophthalmos and dry eyes, damage to the extraocular muscles (double vision), scarring, separation of sutures.Laser correction – summary:

Laser treatment perfectly rejuvenates the eye area – it lifts the upper and lower eyelids, “opens” the eye, eliminates crow’s feet and all imperfections (shadows and hernias) and stimulates the skin to regenerate.

Laser correction is painless and non-invasive, does not require convalescence.

Before and after the procedure, you need to take care of moisturizing the skin (mesotherapy, serum). After laser correction, you should protect yourself from the sun and avoid potential infections and skin irritations (swimming pool, sauna).

To maintain the optimal effect, it is necessary to repeat the procedure several times every month.

In pursuit of the ideal figure. How to non-invasively remove excess fat tissue from the body?
On the one hand, we have a modern, open and inclusive canon of female beauty, on the other – we still admire a slim, sculpted body. For many, the ideal promoted on social media remains in the realm of dreams. Laser liposuction can fulfill them – a non-invasive, quick and permanent method of getting rid of unnecessary kilograms.Beauty is a cultural issue. It means something different to everyone. What some admire, others find unattractive. For generations, the pattern of female beauty associated with a slim figure, prominent bust and narrow waist dominated. And although today we accept other shapes, we still subconsciously and emotionally strive for the canon of complete body harmony. We still believe that an attractive, slim body is a ticket to successful social and private relationships. And if we want to improve our appearance, we have proven and safe methods at our disposal. Why do we need adipose tissue?Although it may sound absurd to some, adipose tissue is necessary for the proper functioning of the body. These are not unnecessary "rolls" of fat, but an important part of the body in which important processes take place. The main cells, adipocytes, along with preadipocytes, fibroblasts, leukocytes, monocytes, macrophages and endothelial cells, play a role in the physiology and abnormalities of this tissue. Adipose tissue is the largest energy reservoir in the body, due to its high energy density and poor hydration. Energy is released during increased energy demand of the body. Fat also plays an insulating and cushioning role - it protects organs from mechanical injuries. Adipocytes are metabolically active - they produce biologically active proteins, including leptin and interleukin, and secrete peptides and cytokines that affect immunological processes. Some substances secreted by adipocytes are hormones (adipokines), so they affect the functions of other cells and organs. In addition, they regulate the processes of appetite and satiety, the energy balance of the body, affect the action of insulin, regulate glucose and lipid metabolism, participate in the process of angiogenesis, regulate blood pressure and coagulation processes, and also affect reproductive processes.Non-invasive liposuction Laser 6D® LiftShaping the body and getting rid of stubborn fat deposits is one of the main goals of achieving a dream figure. This effect is provided by the 6D Lift laser liposuction procedure (lipoplasty). The procedure of removing fat tissue with a laser from the abdomen, sides, thighs or arms is performed on women and men. Indications for the procedure also include cellulite, lipomas, gynecomastia (enlargement of mammary glands in men). It is worth remembering that the procedure alone will not achieve the goal; a healthy diet and physical activity are needed. What are the effects of laser liposuction? The procedure guarantees permanent removal of fat cells from problematic areas of the body and improvement of skin tension, and thanks to advanced technology - a natural, harmonious appearance of the figure.Does non-invasive liposuction hurt? The latest technology allows for minimal pain during and after the procedure. It all depends on the scope of the procedure and the technique used. The smaller the area of the body exposed to the laser, the less pain. The time of the liposuction procedure depends on the amount of fat tissue to be removed and the surface area of the area being treated. It usually takes 40–90 minutes.Number of recommended treatmentsTo achieve optimal results, it is recommended to perform 1–4 treatments every 3–4 weeks.Post-procedure recommendationsAfter liposuction, you must follow your doctor's recommendations:

Avoid strenuous exercise for about 4 weeks.

Wear compression clothing for the period indicated by the specialist.

Maintain proper hygiene of the area undergoing the procedure.

Control your diet and maintain a constant body weight - contact a dietician.

The recovery period is minimal, lasting from a few days to a few weeks, sometimes requiring the use of painkillers and anti-inflammatories. You should not count on a quick result. The effects of liposuction will be visible gradually, and the full result - after about 3 months from the procedure. How does laser liposuction work?Laser lipolysis causes the breakdown of fat cells under the influence of a laser beam, which uses two wavelengths. Longer wavelengths allow you to get rid of fat tissue. The energy hits the fat cells and creates an opening in them, through which fat fluids flow out, and then are flushed out by the lymphatic system. Shorter wavelengths lead to skin shrinkage and improvement of its quality by stimulating the creation of new collagen fibers. Body shaping through laser fat removal allows for an even and predictable effect. Is laser liposuction safe?Yes, it is a less invasive procedure than traditional liposuction - a surgical procedure that mechanically interferes with tissues, requires a long recovery period and leaves sagging skin. Laser liposuction also leaves less visible bruising, less swelling and less post-procedure pain. Laser lipolysis can be an additional support after the traditional method of liposuction.Laser liposuction – summary:

Non-invasive, fast and permanent method of removing fat tissue from places where it accumulates in excess.

Effective when supported by diet and physical activity.

The procedure is not very painful, with a short recovery period.

Following the doctor's recommendations shortens the time to get back to full shape.

Other body shaping methodsAesthetic medicine clinics offer many technologies with varying effectiveness, which are aimed at losing excessive amounts of fat tissue.

Surgical liposuction: Mechanical removal of a large amount of fat tissue from a larger area of the body. The most effective procedure, however, burdened with a long recovery period, frequent post-procedure complications and the effect of sagging skin.

Cryolipolysis: Effect of cold on a specific part of the body. Effects visible after several procedures. The procedure is not very pleasant due to tenderness and swelling that persist for some time after the end of the therapy.

Microwave technology: Destroys the membranes of subcutaneous fat cells - slims the body, reduces cellulite, firms and tightens the skin. The skin cooling system balances the heat induced by microwaves.

Cavitation liposuction: A non-invasive procedure based on low-frequency ultrasound, which breaks down fat cells. Effect – body shaping, removal of excess fat tissue, skin firming.

Own fat tissue transplantation: Taking fat tissue from one area of the body (abdomen, thighs or buttocks) and transplanting it to another place in order to shape the body and improve body contours.

Injection liposuction: Low effectiveness with swelling and inflammation after the procedure, which exclude from life for several days.

FAQ1. Does fat come back after laser liposuction? The effects of liposuction are permanent. The fat cells that have been removed cannot grow back in the same area.2. Does laser liposuction affect your period?Hormonal balance can be temporarily disrupted by the removal of a large number of fat cells. Although laser lipolysis is a non-invasive procedure, it can temporarily change the body's signals, causing premature or delayed menstruation.3. When will the effects of laser liposuction appear? The full effects of the procedure are usually visible after about 3 months. The tissues treated look completely natural, there is no trace of bruising or redness, and the skin is smoother and more elastic.4. What are the side effects of laser liposuction?Minimally invasive laser lipolysis can cause redness and itching of the skin due to the toxins removed from the fat. It is worth taking supplements that remove free radicals, such as vitamin E or C.5. How many kilograms can be removed with laser liposuction?During each treatment session, approximately 24% of fat cells are removed at a given time.

Lymphatic drainage. How to clear lymph flow paths?
Do you feel constantly tired, have visible swelling on your hands, feet or face, or do you often catch a cold? Here are the silent signals that your lymphatic system is slowing down. Lymphatic drainage will improve it. The lymphatic system is the first line of defense against infections and prevents swelling and edema. The lymphatic vessels that form it, including the lymph nodes, produce immune cells and cleanse the lymph flowing through the vessels. The smallest vessels drain the lymph into the bloodstream. The main task of the lymphatic system is, among other things, fighting microorganisms (bacteria and viruses) and transporting proteins and fats. For people who struggle with swelling and lymphatic congestion, are after a mastectomy or after injuries or surgeries, lymphatic drainage is a godsend. Similarly, during weight loss and with symptoms of cellulite. Lymphatic drainage stimulates the lymphatic system to start working. It improves the circulation of lymph in the vessels, and as a result, frees the body from lymphatic swelling and improves the transport of substances delivered to the cells. Manual lymph drainageManual lymph drainage (MLD) should be performed by a well-trained physiotherapist. It is important to select the intensity of the massage depending on the type of swelling, its duration and advancement, and the coexistence of other diseases, as well as on individual sensitivity to massage. The massage is performed in key areas of the body for drainage: on the face on the neck (vagus nerve) around the sternum and clavicle on the upper limb with the armpit in the abdominal region on the lower limb with the groin and popliteal region Massage movements are uniform and very gentle (never painful!) - lymphatic vessels are located superficially. Drainage must take into account the anatomy of the lymphatic tracts and the directions of lymph drainage through them, e.g. the main lymphatic tracts of the lower limb run along the great saphenous vein and the edema should be drained towards it, and then towards the inguinal lymph nodes. Direction of massage - always from the periphery towards the venous outlets (from distal to proximal body parts). First, the central and healthy lymphatic vessels are activated so that they can take over the lymph from the edema drained to them. Each grip consists of a shifting phase (pressure), which stimulates the creation and drainage of lymph, and a relaxation phase (release of pressure), which causes the suction of the emptied lymph vessels. The movements are repeated a maximum of 5-7 times.Drainage should be performed every 2-3 days, and in the case of large swellings, even daily, for 4-6 weeks. The limb must be bandaged during breaks. Before each procedure, it is recommended to drink a glass of water to hydrate the body, which facilitates easier flushing out of toxins. The lymphatic system does not work properly when inflammation is smoldering in the body. It is therefore worth taking vitamin C every day as a preventive measure, increasing its dose in the autumn and winter period. Contraindications to drainageDrainage should not be performed on people with the following conditions:

active inflammatory process (risk of sepsis),

active neoplastic process and metastases to lymph nodes,

decompensated heart failure, especially right ventricular.

Local contraindications include:

in the neck - hyperthyroidism, hypersensitivity of the carotid sinus, heart rhythm disorders,

in the abdominal cavity - pregnancy, menstruation, abdominal aortic aneurysm, non-specific inflammation of the intestines (e.g. Crohn's disease, diverticulosis, acute abdominal diseases, condition after recent surgery,

in the limbs - thrombophlebitis

Compression therapy - controlled pressureTo maintain the effects of manual lymphatic drainage, reduce the volume and circumference of the swollen body part and accelerate the regeneration of fibrotic tissues, compression therapy is necessary. In addition to bandaging and wearing compression clothing (min. III compression) selected based on measurements after a lymphatic drainage cycle, mechanical lymphatic massage is recommended. The method involves putting special sleeves on the limbs, and a suit on the body. The apparatus cyclically pumps air under pressure, inflating the sleeve, and then deflating it. Pumps with multi-chamber pneumatic sleeves increase the pressure and can inflate from the peripheral side, moving the pressure centrally. Although manual drainage is the most effective, sequential pneumatic massage is a good supplement to the therapy.

Bladder out of control. How to treat urinary incontinence?
Natural births, hormonal swings during pregnancy and menopause, and obesity leave their mark on the intimate areas of a woman's body. Weakened pelvic floor muscles cause stress urinary incontinence. How to cure this embarrassing condition without having to undergo invasive procedures?Unfortunately, the times of shamefully hiding intimate problems in the privacy of your home are not a thing of the past. Urinary incontinence is still a taboo subject, despite the fact that the condition worsens the quality of life as much or more than any other disease. Hiding the truth from loved ones for fear of rejection or ridicule deepens the sense of isolation.According to research, as many as ¾ of women have never consulted a doctor on this matter, and those who decided to visit waited about 3 years after the first symptoms appeared. But modern medicine and aesthetic gynecology can solve this problem. When the first symptoms appear, do not delay. Go to a doctor and start treatment. Early diagnosis gives more treatment options. It is worth breaking the barrier of embarrassment – for health, self-acceptance and a successful sexual life. Embarrassing Problem – Causes of Urinary IncontinenceEmbarrassing symptoms of urinary incontinence (UI) can appear as early as between the ages of 20 and 30. According to research, as many as one in three women have a problem with UI after childbirth. Strong muscle tension during pressure causes stretching of the pubic-urethral ligaments. Incontinence, or involuntary urination, affects more than half of women in the perimenopausal period, when estrogen levels drop dramatically. The problem worsens with age. Stress urinary incontinence is the result of damaged connective tissue. Weakening of the fascia, ligaments and muscles (so-called Kegel muscles) of the pelvis causes lowering of the bladder adjacent to the uterus and vagina, a change in the urethral-vesical angle and improper functioning of the urethral sphincter. The development of stress urinary incontinence is also influenced by:

Obesity

Previous surgeries in the area of the reproductive organs

Urological surgeries

Previous or recurrent urinary tract infections

Chronic constipation

Low level of physical activity

Diabetes, circulatory failure, Parkinson's disease

Diseases of the nervous system, use of certain medications

Consuming large amounts of alcohol and smoking tobacco

Uncontrolled excretion of urine through the urethra is associated with exertion (lifting, bending, intense coughing, sneezing, spontaneous laughter, climbing stairs) or straining - even a small amount of urine can cause a feeling of urgency to urinate and involuntary leakage. Over time, urine "escapes" during ordinary activities. Urination in small amounts becomes more frequent. Life revolves around constant visits to the toilet, monitoring the amount of fluids consumed, stress associated with every exit, not to mention embarrassment during intimate relations with a partner.Symptoms you should not ignore:

You involuntarily lose urine when sneezing, coughing, jumping, laughing

You feel a frequent urge to urinate (more than 8 times a day, more often than every 2 hours)

You have a sudden urge to urinate that you are unable to control

You feel the urge to urinate during physical exercise

You gave birth naturally and did not do pelvic floor muscle exercises; you want to avoid incontinence

You have given birth and want to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles

You are in menopause or after menopause and have symptoms of weakened pelvic floor muscles

You practice sports that strain the pelvic floor muscles, especially those related to lifting

You feel less sexual satisfaction during intimate intercourse

You cannot do Kegel muscle training

You have had gynecological or urological procedures

You wake up in the morning because you need to urinate

Uncontrolled urinary incontinence in menMen can also experience urinary incontinence, especially as a result of an enlarged prostate, which is a common condition in older men. An enlarged prostate can lead to pressure on the urethra, making it difficult to urinate and can lead to incontinence. Additionally, men who have undergone surgical procedures such as prostatectomy may experience urinary incontinence and premature ejaculation. In this case, it is important to consult a doctor and consider available treatment options. Be sure to get your PSA level checked in a blood test.NO to incontinence - how to treat it?There are various types of more or less invasive procedures that can eliminate or reduce the condition. The effectiveness of treatment depends on, among other things, how long the problem has been going on, how advanced it is, how numerous and difficult the deliveries were, whether stress urinary incontinence is accompanied by urgency (which can be shown by a urodynamic test), as well as age and body weight.Dr. Gabriela Clinic focuses on innovative and non-invasive solutions. In the treatment of urinary incontinence (in women and men), a specialist chair works perfectly, which performs intensive training of the pelvic floor muscles for the person. What is the power of innovative technology? The groundbreaking HIFEM (High Intensity Electromagnetic Field) technology uses a concentrated high-intensity electromagnetic field that induces deep and strong contractions of the pelvic floor muscles (Kegel muscles). During a single session on the chair, the muscles perform over eleven thousand repetitions! What you do not do with your own effort, the machine will do for you. Such frequent and strong contractions are not possible to achieve with exercises. Deep muscles are not easy to activate. During the procedure, contractions are induced in a controlled, repeatable and safe way. This therapy is the best gym for the pelvic floor muscles - the effect is muscle strengthening and restoration of neuromuscular control. What does the procedure look like? The procedure (intended for women and men) is preceded by a consultation with a doctor or urogynecological physiotherapist. You sit comfortably in a special chair, and the machine precisely and deeply stimulates your pelvic floor muscles, which gives them full control over the bladder. The half-hour procedure does not require taking off clothes, it is non-invasive, comfortable and painless. During the procedure, you can feel a pleasant tingling and contraction of the pelvic floor muscles. The procedure does not require convalescence, you can go back to your activities immediately.Indications for the procedure:

Urgency urinary incontinence

Mixed (stress + urgency) urinary incontinence

Postpartum rehabilitation

Female sexual dysfunction

Rehabilitation after prostatectomy (removal of the prostate and erectile dysfunction)

Contraindications:

Pregnancy, breastfeeding

Menstruation

Cancer

Pacemaker or other electronic device

Copper intrauterine device

Jewelry in intimate areas

Excessive expectations regarding the effects of the procedure

What are the effects of the procedure? The first effects are felt after 2-3 sessions. It takes six 30-minute treatments for the annoying problem to almost completely disappear. Thanks to the treatments, the pelvic floor muscles are strengthened and urinary continence is controlled, as well as libido, or the desire for sex, is increased. The device using HIFEM technology has been certified by the FDA for the treatment of I and II degree stress urinary incontinence (mild to moderate) and overactive bladder. In 95% of patients, the symptoms disappear.Exercise your Kegel musclesIn the early stages of urinary incontinence, pelvic floor muscle exercises can help. It was Arnold Kegel, an American gynecologist, who developed the scientific basis for pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s.Unfortunately, only a quarter of Polish women suffering from stress urinary incontinence admit that they have ever done them. And the muscles that do not do any work weaken, which is intensified by heavy physical exertion and childbirth. Exercises not only prevent urinary incontinence and loose vagina syndrome, but also strengthen the spine and abdominal muscles. How to tighten and relax the muscles "suspended" between the pubic bone and the coccyx? Imagine a straw that is in the vagina. The pelvic floor muscles are supposed to achieve such tension that fluid could be sucked through the straw. You can imagine a zipper that starts between the sphincters of the urethra and anus and goes up to the navel. With an exhale, you fasten the zipper up and at the same time, but very gently, bring it closer to the spine. The tension goes in two directions: up and back, towards the spine.Remember that the contraction of the pelvic floor muscles should not be accompanied by movements of the buttocks or inner thigh muscles. Do the exercises regularly. Breathe naturally, without holding your breath while contracting the muscles. If you are contracting them less and less, stop the workout and come back to it after a while. If you feel too much tension in the lower abdomen, reduce the intensity of the exercises.FAQ1. At what age does urinary incontinence begin?Urinary incontinence occurs in about 25% of women aged 14-21, in 44-57% of women aged 40-60 and in 75% of women over 75.2. How can I check if I have urinary incontinence?Involuntary leakage of urine occurs during laughter, coughing, jumping, lifting, sex or during sleep in the morning. Diagnosis is based on the results of a general urine test with culture and an ultrasound of the urinary system with an assessment of residual urine after micturition.3. What causes urinary incontinence in men?Urinary tract infections, weakened muscles after prostate surgery, urethral stricture, diabetes or neurological diseases (Alzheimer's, Parkinson's).4. Do I have to stop drinking coffee? No, but it is good to reduce the amount of coffee I drink. Caffeine and alcohol are responsible for increasing the amount of urine produced.5. What exercises should you avoid if you have urinary incontinence?Lifting heavy weights, which can cause excessive pressure on your bladder. Exercises that use your own body weight, such as squats or lunges forward and backward, are better.6. What weakens your Kegel muscles? Not only strenuous physical activity, but also inactivity and a sedentary lifestyle, obesity and diabetes.7. What mistakes can you make when exercising your pelvic floor muscles?Do not exercise with a full bladder or while urinating - this can lead to dysfunction of these muscles.

How to rejuvenate the skin of the face and neck without a scalpel? The power of a laser

When the skin of the face loses its firmness, the oval loses its distinct outline, and gravity pulls the tissues downwards, it is time to take action. An alternative to surgical lifting is a 6D laser treatment - a way to restore the fresh and youthful appearance of the skin. The dynamic development of technology and the related trend of non-invasive skin rejuvenation methods draw attention to laser treatments. This is a definite leader among many devices of modern aesthetic medicine. The variety of lasers allows for a personalized approach to the problem of each patient. All this to ensure that the treatment procedures are safe, effective, as minimally invasive and painless as possible, precisely hitting the source of the problem. To allow you to quickly return to everyday activities. How does the skin age? With age, the skin gradually ages. The scaffolding supporting the dermis weakens, the structure of collagen and elastin fibers changes, which causes the skin to lose its firmness and elasticity. Fine lines and wrinkles deepen. The activity of the sebaceous glands also decreases, the skin has a much thinner hydrolipid coat, which is a protective barrier against external factors. Dry skin loses its natural resistance. But the greatest changes occur during menopause, i.e. around the age of 50. Due to lower estrogen production, the skin ages rapidly. Cell and tissue regeneration slows down, the collagen content decreases. Wrinkles begin to appear at a rapid pace, and the complexion sags. The skin's defense mechanisms and ability to neutralize free radicals also weaken. Damage regeneration is slower. Excessive water loss occurs, which causes the skin to become very dry and the epidermis to become thinner. Cells also divide and grow slower. The epidermis renewal cycle is more than twice as long - the skin sags, sags and loses density. The face oval becomes blurred and less pronounced. Over time, skin circulation also deteriorates. Laser era – quick help for aging skinInnovative technology of skin rejuvenation and lifting under the influence of a laser beam allows for the stimulation and production of new collagen, skin regeneration, reduction and even removal of wrinkles.A duo makes it easier to act and achieve good results. In the case of the 6D Laser® treatment, two complementary wavelengths of the erbium-yag (Er:YAG) and neodymium-yag (Nd:YAG) laser work together in one device. The Er:YAG laser is perfect for treating superficial skin lesions: it stimulates collagen production, improves skin firmness, promotes its regeneration, and also removes superficial skin lesions, e.g. shallow discolorations, moles or soft fibromas. The skin repair process lasts for several months after the treatment, so treatments can be performed at most every few weeks. Laser facial rejuvenation is the best way to counteract the aging of the skin of the face and neck. ProceduresTreatment duration: 40 – 120 min. The 6D Laser® treatment is almost painless, performed without anesthesia. During the procedure, the patient may experience a feeling of temporary warmth or heat, which is minimized by cooling individually selected to their needs. The number of treatments is selected during a medical consultation. Repeating the treatments makes perfect sense - it thickens the existing collagen in the facial skin and produces new collagen, the greater amount of which slows down aging. However, the decision to continue the treatments is up to the patient. We recommend that after achieving a good result from the facelift, people aged 40+ repeat the treatment 2-3 times a year. Older people repeat the treatment more often. People under 35 - once a year. The way the skin reacts is influenced by the lifestyle and skin hydration. If a person leads a healthy lifestyle and regularly hydrates the skin with cosmetics and mesotherapy treatments, the treatment can be performed 1-2 times a year.6D Laser® treatment performed on the face, chin, neck, and neckline, non-invasively, naturally improves the quality of the skin. The minimal recovery period and momentary discomfort during the treatment are compensated by the spectacular skin metamorphosis, which, reinforced with newly formed collagen fibers, becomes taut, elastic and smooth for a long time. Laser rejuvenation of the face, neck and necklineThe 6D Laser® treatment is worth deciding on if you have thin, inelastic skin that begins to sag with age.Other indications include loss of facial contour, shallower and deeper wrinkles, strongly marked nasolabial folds, drooping eyelids or discoloration. What are the effects of a laser facelift?

stimulating collagen production

skin renewal

thickening the epidermis layer

densifying the network of collagen and elastin fibers, which constitute a "mattress" for the skin

smoothing wrinkles

increasing skin tension

lifting the face, eye area, neck and décolleté

lifting the eyelids

improving the face oval

skin tone equalization

removal of pigmented lesions What are the post-procedure recommendations?

To ensure that the recovery process proceeds properly and does not pose a risk of infection, follow the post-procedure recommendations: Drink large amounts of water without lemon for 48 hours, Do not drink citrus juices or hot tea and avoid foods acidified with vinegar for 24 hours (the oral mucosa may be sensitive to acid), Use Dr. Gabriela's recommended skin care products.Avoid sun and solarium permanently, Do not use sauna or swimming pool for up to 2 days after the treatment, Do not use vitamin A derivatives (retinol) to continue subsequent laser treatments, Protect your skin from UVA/UVB radiation with SPF 50 filter, Refrain from physical activity (increased sweating) for 48 hours after the treatment, Do not use aggressive cosmetics based on soaps and alcohol - they dry out and irritate the skin, Do not perform peelings or hair removal for two weeks, Do not perform intensive facial massages. FAQ1. How long does it take to rebuild collagen after a laser treatment? It is a gradual process that lasts for several weeks after the treatment. Full skin reconstruction after a series of laser lifting treatments takes several months. 2. Can you drink alcohol after a laser treatment?Do not drink wine, beer, vodka, or drinks for two days after the treatment. Alcohol contains toxins that can intensify skin redness or irritation. 3. How to firm the skin of the neck and neckline at home?Daily care is important. Regular massage (e.g. when applying cream, serum or oil) stimulates circulation, and thus oxygenation and nourishment of the tissue. The skin becomes firmer and more elastic. A cream with UV protection is also necessary. 4. How to speed up healing after a laser? You must use skin care products recommended by your doctor that will soothe any irritation and temporary redness, improve skin hydration, and accelerate healing and skin regeneration. We recommend cosmetics from the Dr. Gabriela line. 5. What are the contraindications to the procedure?Oral intake of retinoids (within the last 6 months) and use of preparations with vitamin A; use of steroids; pregnancy and breastfeeding; tanned skin (at least a 2-week waiting period is necessary); taking medications, vitamins and photosensitizing herbs 2 weeks before the procedure; taking herbs (St. John's wort, chamomile, calendula) 2-3 weeks before the procedure; tendency to develop keloid scars; active autoimmune, endocrine, neoplastic diseases; infection with HIV or hepatitis viruses; pacemaker; active skin diseases and infections; peelings and hair removal used 2 weeks before the procedure.
